Sony Night Shot Hi 8 (Analog)
Used to document pre-investigation walk through and actual investigation. Video is used mostly as a cross-reference during the investigation to look for things that may come up on other media such as audio and still photography. In rare cases anomalies may show up under infrared lighting. Also used to capture Evp's (Electronic Voice Phenomena).
Olympus Camedia C-700 Digital Camera
Used to document the investigation site. In addition, digital cameras have the ability to see a larger range of colors into the infrared and ultraviolet spectrum.
Fuji 270 35mm Film Camera
We use 35mm to cross-reference other media and for a negative backup. When submitted to a third party to examine, an anomaly on a film negative gives more proof of paranormal activity.
Night Owl Explorer Pro NOCX5 Night Vision Scope
Used to view dark areas under infrared or ultraviolet light.
Panasonic RR-QR240 IC Recorder
Used to capture Evp's digitally. (Mono)
Sony ICD-P520 IC Recorder With Digital Voice Editor
Used to capture Evp's digitally (Mono). This recorder has editing software, Which makes downloading, storing and changing file types easy.
Sony TCM-200DV Stereo Cassett Recorder
Used to capture Evp's on analog tape. When downloaded into editing software such as Audacity, you have two channels to compare.
Zoom H2 4-Channel Digital 360' Surround Sound Recorder
Used to record in a 360' circle. The Zoom H2 is a studio quality audio recorder.
GE Mini Cassette Recorder
Used to capture Evp's on analog tape. (Mono).
Ultraviolet Lighting
One theory is that paranormal activity may be reflective under different spectrum's of light such as ultraviolet. This is one form of lighting that we are experimenting with.
Milligauss Meter 0.1mG to 10mG
We use this to look for areas with high EMF (Electro Magnetic Frequency). Areas with high EMF from fuse boxes, transformers and bad wiring have been associated with feelings of paranoia and being watched. In some instances, paranormal activity may create detectable levels of EMF.
Extech 42520 IR Laser Thermometer
Infrared thermometers are used for monitoring temperature changes, primarily only on solid surfaces. Infrared does not monitor air temperature.
